Inspiration for fashionlovers
Crocheted mermaids, a miniature Zen garden and paper couture dresses are just a few examples of ‘The future of fashion is now‘ in the Boijmans Van Beuningen Museum. Immerse yourself in this visionary world and discover where creativity can lead to.
Guest Curator José Teunissen and art lover Han Nefkens brought together in this unique exhibition, 56 designers from 28 countries.
The question is how the fashion world can change from the inside. Maybe targeted by less consumption, sustainability and with preservation of identity?
The designers have their own vision and efforts in this complex area of the fashion world.
In this exhibition there are many artworks with knits to be seen and fashion combined with performance art.
The designers experimented especially with materials, colors and shapes.
By using different angles there is still a beautiful relationship combined in the exhibition.
Han Nefkens confided to Trendbubbles that he is very proud of the designers. They were willing to ‘share', in stead of keeping the knowledge for themselves.
A nice personal setting that gives hope for the future and which apparently gives the atmosphere of the exhibition itself.
Right now the fashion world is stretched, it is interesting to see what the possibilities are.
The exhibition ‘The Future of Fashion is Now' can be seen at Museum Boijmans Van Beuningen in Rotterdam from October 11 to January 18, 2015.
